We offer Online Recorded and Live Streaming EMS CEs

Welcome to Jon Puryear EMS CE and thank you for visiting our website!  We offer many different types of EMS CE classes, NREMT Preps, and packages like NREMT Reviews and Online NREMT Refreshers.  The classes are taught mainly by Jon Puryear, NRP who teaches in an entertaining way that helps you understand the material and always learn.  Our CEs are accepted by the NREMT as a Texas approved CE Program.  



  • 1 hour CE classes (includes specialty classes like 12 Lead, Capnography, EKG, etc.)
  • 16 hour NREMT Prep (no CEs and used as a NREMT test prep)
  • 16 hour NREMT Review (issues CEs)
  • 24 hour EMT Refresher (issues CEs for a Refresher)
  • 36 hour Advanced Refresher (issues CEs using the Paramedic version)
  • 48 hour Paramedic Refresher (issues CEs for a Refresher)
  • NREMT Recertification Packages (EMT, Advanced/Paramedic)


If you failed the NREMT exam 3 times, we have the Refresher Course to obtain an additional 3 attempts! If you need study material to increase your chances of passing the NREMT exam, the NREMT Prep Class will review the material.  It is offered online recorded, live streaming, and onsite in person.

There are many Online Recorded Classes and Refreshers offered including EMR, EMT, Advanced, and Paramedic levels.  You may take single classes or take many classes included in different course packages. These courses may be completed at your own convenience and are designed for Online Recorded NREMT F3 or State CE hours only.

 The Online Live Classroom is very interactive with the Educators and other students typing in a chat room while watching the live video stream. You don't need a webcam or microphone.  you can view the calendar of courses and enroll.


A monthly schedule of classes will be posted and subject to the number of enrollments. You may enroll in a

A monthly schedule of classes will be posted and subject to the number of enrollments. You may enroll in a scheduled class and then receive an email if the course will be held or canceled. You will then be asked to pay for the course and provided an Instructional Email to take the course.


If you like a structured class that is performed on certain dates/times, this is a course to consider.

Jon Puryear EMS CE performs the 16-20 hour EMT, Advanced, or Paramedic NREMT Prep live onsite.  It is taught at EMS Initial Programs and Agencies prior to their EMS students taking the NREMT written exam.  It is a two day course from 0800-1900 with an intense review from Operations to Abuse.  This may also be contracted for EMS Programs t

Jon Puryear EMS CE performs the 16-20 hour EMT, Advanced, or Paramedic NREMT Prep live onsite.  It is taught at EMS Initial Programs and Agencies prior to their EMS students taking the NREMT written exam.  It is a two day course from 0800-1900 with an intense review from Operations to Abuse.  This may also be contracted for EMS Programs to play the recorded version in their classroom to their students. These Prep Courses will also issue Texas CE Hours to currently certified individuals to be applied to their recertification! Have outsiders take your course, too!

This is an Online Recorded 16 hour NREMT Prep that includes Training Videos with Jon Puryear teaching the class with PowerPoints and the class handout. This class was an Online Live Prep Class that was recorded so it feels that you are taking an actual live class.  It has an approximate 92-95% pass rate.

If you struggle with taking exams because of understanding the test questions, watch these videos that help with that.  Test Taking Strategies and the NREMT Exam Summary are free training videos performed by Jon Puryear. They will breakdown each format of test questions and answer options to better understand them. Also, how to easily understand the scenario-based questions on the NREMT exam.  These free videos are a great addition to anyone taking the NREMT exam. However, you MUST have the knowledge of the material in order to pass! Be sure to take the 16 hour NREMT Prep or the Refresher to know the correct answer and be a good clinician providing excellent patient care.

We have a NO REFUND policy. Once you register and pay for a class, we already have paid our costs for your course and finance fees.  We refund the cost if you purchased the wrong course and then purchase the correct course. You have one year to complete the course.
